Print Mixing 101
NEW YORK - On Sunday Duro Olowu, Nigerian-born British-based designer gave us, once again, an impeccably mixed array of gorgeous prints. Duro was discovered by American Vogue in 2005-- and his designs continue to inspire and appeal to an international clientele.
For his Fall 2011 he was inspired by New York (specifically Harlem), photographer James Van Der Zee as well as South American gauchos and the films of Mexican actress María Félix, with a 40s feel.
“My job is not about dictating to women what they should wear, it's about presenting them with beautiful options.” - Duro Olowu
